Your First Bag Sourcing Brief: A Copy-and-Paste Template for Boutiques
Send the exact product links and SKU quantities together with destination, material requirements, QC priorities and packing instructions. Mark unknowns as pending. A complete brief helps the buying-agent desk identify what still needs confirmation before you approve a purchase.

Calculation and purchase decision
A workable first brief can be six lines: 2 seller links; 2 styles × 2 colors × 6 units = 24; destination and postal code; maximum landed budget and currency; material/closure must-haves; inspection and packing decision. These are example quantities, not supplier minimums. Separate “must have” from “preferred” so an unavailable color does not silently change the approved order.
Copy this enquiry template
Use one line per SKU and attach a screenshot of the selected variant. A product photo can show a style direction, but it does not identify a seller, price or available SKU. Remove customer information from reference screenshots before sharing.
Purpose: first test order / reorder / other
Marketplace and seller: [1688 or Taobao; store and listing URL]
SKU rows: [style | color | size | quantity | selected variant screenshot]
Mixing request: [colors/styles; seller minimum not yet confirmed]
Material requirements: [component claims; evidence needed; unknowns pending]
Must-have features: [dimensions and measuring method; lining; hardware; closure]
Sample/reference: [reference details, date and accepted differences]
QC request: [features, coverage and photos to agree; defects requiring a hold]
Substitutions: [ask first / specified alternatives only]
Packing: [shape protection; folding allowed?; retail box needed?; changes requiring approval]
Destination: [country, city, postal code; full address through the agreed order channel]
Timing: [desired in-hand date and consequence of delay; feasibility pending]
Budget: [currency and total landed-cost limit, or request itemized estimate]
Quote: [product; China freight; buying service; QC; repacking; export delivery; duties/import handling; exclusions]
Release rule: [hold if a seller is late or QC differs; ask before split shipment]
Please mark each item confirmed / excluded / pending and tell me what is needed next. Use a reviewable budget and deadline
Say whether your budget is for products only or the entire delivered order, and include the currency. Ask the desk to flag charges that cannot be confirmed until receipt and packing. An empty field should stay pending rather than being interpreted as free or included.
Give the date you want goods in hand and explain whether it is a preference or a hard launch constraint. Ask for seller readiness, warehouse receipt, QC, packing, international handover and delivery assumptions separately. A desired date is not a delivery commitment.
Separate sourcing from product development
Before paying, check the returned brief for the chosen seller and SKU, agreed quantities, confirmed inclusions, pending costs, QC response plan and buyer approval step. Use the existing service guides to resolve the missing fields, then submit the brief through the sourcing page.

Sources and calculation method
Research reference date: . This is a source-reference date, not a publication date or a hands-on test.
Method: the editorial comparisons use the cited specifications; worked calculations state their assumed inputs. Product-page descriptions do not establish physical fit, material performance or stock.

Questions before purchase
Can I start with only a reference photo?
Yes, as a style enquiry. Seller, SKU, availability and quotation still need confirmation.
Do I need a full address for the initial brief?
Start with country, city and postal code; provide delivery details through the agreed order channel when required.
What if I do not know my QC requirements?
Describe the intended use and what would make the bags unacceptable, then ask the desk to propose an inspection scope for approval.
